Ticket information

How much does a ticket cost?
We offer Adult, Children under 16 and Concession tickets. Click here for current ticket prices and booking information.

What does my admission ticket cover?

Your admission ticket covers all areas of the palace, open normally.  Click here for more information about what to see and do at the palace.

How do I find out what will be on when I visit?

Do you accept my student ID?

We accept all valid student ID cards from anywhere in the world. Click here for current ticket prices and booking information.

How can I book admission tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on the day of your visit from the ticket desk at Banqueting House. It is advisable to check before you set off in case the palace is closed for a government function: 020 3166 6154/5. Textphone users, dial 18001 before any of the above numbers. Opening hours

When are you open?
Click here for details of our opening times. Banqueting House is closed on Bank Holidays and 22 December – 1 January (inclusive). The Banqueting House often closes at short notice for functions and events, so please check the times before your visit. For contact details, please click here.

Hire a venue

Can I hold an event, such as a wedding or conference, at Banqueting House?

Lost property

I’ve lost something at the palace – what do I do?
Please contact the nearest member of staff if you lose something during a visit. All lost property is held in the shop. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with our visitor services team. Click here for contact details.

Food and drink

Can I buy food and drink at Banqueting House?
No. Food and drink are not currently available at Banqueting House. There are however a wide range of food and drink outlets nearby.

General enquiries

Can I take photographs?
You are welcome to take photographs or to video within the Banqueting House for your own personal use. Requests for commercial photography or filming should be made in advance. Couples wishing to take wedding/civil partnership photographs in the Banqueting House may do so with permission. Images of the palace are available for sale from our Photographic Library. Do I need permission to sketch inside the palace?
If you are sketching for your own personal use, you are welcome to do so in many areas of the palace.  However, we would be grateful if you could please contact us in advance.

Can I use my mobile phone inside the palace?
The use of mobile telephones is prohibited within the confines of the buildings.

Is there anywhere I can leave my heavy bags?
Banqueting House does not have any left luggage facilities available, so unfortunately people with large suitcases will not be allowed entry. 

Can I bring my kids?
Yes. Children are welcome to all Historic Royal Palaces. However, unlike our other palaces, Banqueting House does not offer Family trails.

Is there anywhere to change my baby?
There are baby-changing facilities in the both the ladies' and disabled toilets.

Where can I leave my pushchair?
Pushchairs can be used on the ground floor of the Banqueting House and can be left in the cloakroom before ascending the stairs to the Main Hall.

Can I bring my dog with me?
Only service dogs are allowed inside the Banqueting House. Please note that there are no facilities for dogs to be left while visiting.

I’m holding a fundraising event – can I get free tickets?
As Historic Royal Palaces is a charity, we receive no funding from the Government or the Crown, so we depend on the support of our visitors, members, donors, volunteers and sponsors.  We are unable to support other fundraising activities with complimentary tickets.

I would like to find out about the collections on display at Banqueting House. Who do I contact?
