27 December - 1 January
The aging Henry Vlll gathers what remains of his family for Christmas, will music, dancing, the fire breathing Fool and the host of cooks toiling in his great kitchens be enough to lighten his mood? See what you can do to bring festive jollity and merry-making to the suspicious court. Perhaps if you succeed His Majesty might even be persuaded to wear his magnificent crown for the occasion.
Our Historic cooks are toiling in the Kitchens, preparing the exotic dishes for the royals as well as the plainer yet still lavish food for the court. They will be trying new techniques and deciphering ancient manuscripts in their quest for the perfect festive meal.
