Henry VIII’s obsession with securing a male heir came together on 15 October 1537. Three days later, Hampton Court Palace held the most important Tudor event in history - the christening of Edward VI. From noblemen to lowly kitchen workers, a panel of experts including Lucy Worsley will unravel the preparations, rituals, and personalities that were involved in this momentous ceremony.

This event is inspired by Lucy Worsley and David Starkey’s television show ‘Britain’s Tudor Treasure: a Night at Hampton Court’, aired Saturday 10th January, BBC 2.

Speakers
Rachel Jardine, BBC TV Producer of 'Britain's Tudor Treasure: a Night at Hampton Court'
Denis Mulliner, Chaplain of Her Majesty’s Chapel Royal at Hampton Court Palace
Lucy Worsley, Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, writer, and broadcaster
