2014 will be the UK’s third annual international Concours of Elegance competition, uniquely held each year at a British Royal location. Sixty of the world’s rarest motor cars ranging from 1896 to present day are being brought together by the major historic car collectors from around the world to compete for the highly coveted ‘Best of Show’ award.
These 60 exceptional motor cars will be joined within the Fountain Garden grounds of Hampton Court Palace by many other fine automobiles from Britain’s leading car clubs over the Concours weekend.
Uniquely, the Concours ‘Best of Show’ winner is determined by the Owners themselves. Each Owner has one vote to chose the car, other than their own, which they believe to be the finest motor car entered into the Concours, with the Best of Show winner picking up the magnificent Pullman Trophy, inspired by the famous Avions Voisin winged mascot, ‘La Cocotte’. The Trophy will be presented at the Concours Celebration Dinner, being held in the Great Hall of Hampton Court Palace.
Away from the stunning cars, a dedicated luxury retail area within the Fountain Garden will enable Concours visitors to browse and shop among the unique displays of a number of the Concours partners, including the Royal Warrant Holders Association, Patek Philippe, Henry Poole & Co, William & Son and many others. Concours visitors will also have access to Hampton Court Palace and its magnificent grounds.
New for 2014 is the Talking Concours, a live stage to really bring the Concours of Elegance, with a platform of regular interviews and informal chats with interesting guest speakers from the world of classic cars, motor sport and fashion, including the experts from RM Auctions to discuss current classic market trends.
