Following their successful performances in February, All the King's Fools are making a return visit to Hampton Court Palace.
In new performances, produced with support from a Wellcome Trust People Award, visitors can learn about the high status of ‘natural’ fools in the court of Henry VIII and how they were prescribed as therapy for an old and ailing king.
Join The Misfits, a theatre company of actors with learning difficulties, as they present a ground-breaking programme exploring what it might have been like to be a fool in Henry VIII’s court. Working with professional jester Peet Cooper and former Hampton Court curator, historian Dr. Suzannah Lipscomb, they have researched and produced a performance which is truly unique in its scope and presentation.
I had the pleasure of seeing the exceptional talents of these actors. Highly recommend seeing All the King’s Fools if it is shown again throughout the year.
