Chocolate Kitchen half term activities

Chocolate Kitchen half term activities

Chocolate Kitchen
14 -23 February
Explore the new Chocolate Kitchen

George I’s Chocolate Kitchen will open to the public for the first time from 14 February.

Over half term, step back in time in the newly conserved Chocolate Kitchen where Thomas Tosier made hot chocolate for George I and George II.

Explore these fascinating spaces and watch our historic cooks make hot chocolate for the King.

There will be chocolate themed family activities all week from decorating your own Georgian chocolate cup with porcelain paints (daily) to storytelling and object handling (weekends) and even making your own drinking chocolate (bookable sessions once on site, weekends only).

More details are in 'Plan your day at court'.
