Our Hampton Court Palace Guides undertook a Level 2 (site specific) training course in 2012, organised by the Institute of Tourist Guiding. They’ve always really known their stuff about the palace but now they’ve developed their expertise even further by taking and passing a bespoke palace-specific ITG course – a first for any HRP staff.

Guides need to be booked and paid for in advance - preferably two weeks in advance so that we can guarantee availability - but thanks to the wonder of credit cards we only need a few days notice unless you have a specific tour request that may require a specific guide.

Tours start at £110 + VAT (£132) for a 1½ hour tour. This is in addition to palace admission tickets.

Three of our Guides are also ITG qualified to offer tours in French, German or Italian and one of our Guides is Deaf and a native British Sign Language user. These tours are subject to the availability of the guide so early booking is a requirement.

We can also offer tours on a range of specialist subjects, and will always tailor the content to suit the needs of the group.
