Access Forum

The Access Forum is a group of people who draw on their own access needs and experiences to help Hampton Court Palace to better meet the needs of people with disabilities.

About the Forum

Drawn from the local community, members of the Historic Royal Palaces Access Forum help improve the experience at the palace for people with disabilities.

They regularly contribute to the planning of exhibitions and are consulted on a range of other matters both at Hampton Court Palace and Kew Palace.

The forum engages in a dialogue with project managers from the outset, making access issues integral to the process.

Having started as a small trial on the re-presentation of Kew Palace, the Access Forum's valuable contributions mean they are now routinely involved with discussions for major interpretation projects at Hampton Court Palace, such as the Young Henry VIII exhibition
