The education team at Hampton Court Palace worked with two teachers from our partner school, St John the Baptist Church of England junior school in Hampton Wick to come up with fun and interesting ways to teach symmetry, patterns and printing using patterns found at the palace.

Introduction

Each lesson consists of an adobe document made up of the lesson plan and resources for that lesson. PowerPoints referred to in the lesson plan are also downloadable as ZIP files on this page.

The five lessons are designed to work together as a scheme of work and follow on and complement the maths lessons but also work as a stand - alone scheme of work.
