Teachers and adults accompanying groups are admitted free of charge up to a ratio of one for every 10 students.
The Maze
Tickets for Hampton Court's famous Maze can be purchased from the main ticket office. Entry to the Maze is not included in the main education admission rate.

Our regular spring visits and bookings will open later than usual on 2 March 2009 as the palace's Tudor route is being refurbished in preparation for the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne.

On-site supervision
Each group should contain a minimum of one adult per ten pupils aged 7-16 years old, one adult per six pupils aged 5-7 years old (Key Stage 1).
Groups with an inadequate number of accompanying adults may not be admitted.

The education admission rate includes access to all palace routes including the Tudor Kitchens, Henry VIII's State Apartments, the Georgian Rooms, the Queen's State Apartments and the King's State Apartments. It also includes:
- Access to the Formal Garden
- Exhibitions on Young Henry VIII and the Gardens
- Use of audio guides
Please note education visitors will not be permitted to join the public tours of the palace as advertised in the Daily Programme.

Education sessions can enhance your pupils' experience. Led by expert presenters, all sessions are curriculum based. We also offer bespoke sessions and study days for older students.
All sessions can accomodate up to 35 students and are subject to availability during term times. Sessions may also be subject to change. Many run at allocated times Monday to Friday through the autumn and spring terms, while others are specially run at certain times of year. This year several sessions will be available through the summer term until July 2009. See individual sessions for details.
Rates vary between £80 and £90 per session. INSET events and courses for teachers are £80 per person.

Wheelchair access
There is a lift available to allow access to the Great Hall, the Buttery Lecture Room and the Renaissance Picture Gallery Lecture Room, as well as all public rooms on this level of the palace.
