Toilets

There are a number of on-site toilets within the palace. All are fully wheelchair accessible. The nearest toilets to the Barrack Block lunchrooms are located on Vrow Walk or at the Clore Learning Centre.

Bags and coats

Unfortunately we have no cloakroom facilities for groups. All coats, bags, lunches and other personal belongings must remain with the group at all times.

Lunch rooms and drinking water

The palace has several lunch rooms available of varying size. You'll be allocated a room appropriate to your group size when you book. If using the rooms, please arrive and depart on time - the rooms are available in 20-minute slots, so promptness is appreciated.

Unfortunately, we cannot supply drinking water for groups.

Picnicking

Your group is welcome to picnic in allocated areas within the palace gardens.

These include the lawns in front of the palace entrance (West Front) and the gardens around the Tiltyard Café (The Wilderness). Please ensure that litter is disposed of in the bins provided.

Shopping

Naturally, the palace gift shops – located in Base Court and the Barrack Block - are very popular with younger visitors.

Both shops contain similar merchandise suitable for school children. Your group will be allocated a shop on arrival. We ask that groups visit just one shop during their visit.
