Things to see and do for one, two and three hour visits

We recommend that you allow at least 3 hours for your visit to Hampton Court. Upon arrival, please go to the Information Centre in Clock Court for assistance in planning your time. For visitors who would like to plan their itinerary in advance, we suggest the following timings:

  • Visit the introductory exhibition behind the colonnade in Clock Court (20 mins)
  • Walk through Henry VIII's State Apartments (20 mins)
  • Walk through the Tudor Kitchens (20 mins) 
     

2 hours

  • Visit the introductory exhibition behind the colonnade in Clock Court (20 mins)
  • Tudor Kitchens with audio guide (25 mins)
  • Costume guide tour or audio guide tour of Henry VIII's State Apartments (30 mins)
  • Costume guide tour or audio guide tour of the King's Apartments (William III) (30 mins)
  • Walk through the Wolsey Rooms (15 mins)  

3 hours

  • Visit the introductory exhibition behind the colonnade in Clock Court (20 mins)
  • Tudor Kitchens with audio guide (25 mins)
  • Costume guide tour or audio guide tour of Henry VIII's State Apartments (30 mins)
  • Walk through the Queen's State Apartments (30 mins)
  • Costume guide tour or audio guide tour of the King's Apartments (William III) (30 mins)
  • Walk through the Wolsey Rooms (15 mins)
  • The Georgian Rooms with audio guide (30 mins)

You may wish to allow more time to walk through the formal gardens and the famous Hampton Court Maze.
