Best for…

The gallery offers the perfect setting for larger receptions and can be used in conjunction with other rooms in the King’s State Apartments.

A little history of the space…

Originally hung with Raphael's 16th-century cartoons of the Acts of the Apostles, later given by Queen Victoria to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the room is now hung with copies of the cartoons painted in the gallery in 1697, probably by Henry Cooke.

In the Georgian period this magnificent room, overlooking Fountain Court, was used as a meeting room of the Privy Council.
