A little history of the space.....
This intriguing garden was laid out during the reign of Edward VIII and re-creates the formal gardens that existed at Kensington Palace in the 17th century when it was admired by Samuel Pepys, amongst others, as 'a might fine cool place...with a great layer of water in the middle'.
