When my sister in law was dying from cancer in hospital in London Princess Diana was visiting other patients and my nieces saw her there and asked if she would see their mother. She answered immediately yes of course and sat with her and held her hand for a long time. She continued to visit her and sent a large bouquet of lillies and on hearing she had passed away telephoned my nieces to say how sorry she was and asked us to the palace for lunch. She welcomed us with open arms and kisses.

It was June of 1996 and Princess Diana was in Chicago IL to speak at a symposium at Northwestern University to raise money for cancer. We passed on a corner and she smiled, I said hello to her and she answered me. She was radiant and beautiful and I will never forget her blue eyes or her smile.

In June of 1983 the Prince and Princess of Wales came to my home province of Prince Edward Island for a royal tour. I will never forget the thrill of standing in that crowd of people as the Princess stopped, shook my hand and spoke to me. There was magic in that moment and I can still remember every detail and it always makes me smile. Ten years ago a person who tried to do good in the world died in Paris. I for one will never forget her because Diana,Princess of Wales was special.

In about 1990 my friend Alison and her family were living in Jakarta Indonesia, when Diana and Charles visited. Part of the visit was to a hospital for sufferers of leprosy, Alison told me the story that Diana sat on the beds and held hands with the men and women suffering from leprosy. The next day it was reported in the papers, as this was unheard of in Jakarta and people marvelled at her behaviour. Alison said that it got people talking about the way leprosy was perceived

I remember Diana perching on the edge of a table chatting to the homeless men and women in the day centre where I worked in London. She made them laugh, listened to their stories and made each person feel they mattered.

I remember meeting Diana in November 1987, she was on a walk about in Harrow, Middlesex, to open a new shopping centre. I could see her walking towards me and noticed how many different kinds of people were there to see her, all ages, nationalities. They loved her. It was a grey dull day but with her there it was like the sun was out. I got to shake her hand and say hello. I asked her how she was and she said very well thank you.

This was about 17 yrs ago, Diana came to NY, I was dying to see her, I took the day off from work and convinced my brother to come with me to the city. He did so reluctantly. When we got to FAO Schwartz, where I found she would be, we managed to get a spot right in front by the against the police barriers. When Diana came out, she started to make her rounds, the crowd went crazy.

As I watched the news to hear about her death I was 16 at that time. My heart melted on the day, she did not deserve the way she was treated in life. Now she is in a better place than all of us, this world is full of evil and selfish people...that god will never forgive.

My message is just to say that the day Diana died was the worse day ever. It was such a tragic loss I could not believe it at first and the funeral was just the loveliest I'd ever seen. All those flowers she would have been so overwhelmed by it all. She was the best royal we had. How I miss her I never met her but it feels like I knew her GOD BLESS YOU DIANA XXX

My admiration for Princess Diana will remain a constant. Being a RN who worked with HIV/AIDS patients Diana's involvement in the fight meant so much. Being a mother of 2 sons one blonde, one redhead each a year older then the Princess Diana's love for her children was a joy to see. She will never be forgotten and will always remembered with great love and respect.
