Bringing the palace to life

From 26 March 2012, every half-term and during the easter and summer holidays we have exciting events that all the family can take part in. See below for more information.

Join the Jubilee - Spring half-term

2 - 10 June 2012

Drop in sessions
11.00 - 16.00
Location: Jubilee - a view from the crowd exhibition

Imagine the cheers, the excitement, dressed in your best clothes, desperately standing on your tiptoes to see the queen through the crowd! These activities explore the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria in 1897 as displayed in our new temporary exhibition Jubilee - a view from the crowd.

There will be exciting new explorer bags available for families to pick up to help you journey through the exhibition. Each bag will have objects and activities relating to a different character from the crowd and the procession. During half-term you can help contribute to our triumphal arch of flowers and garlands, create a piece of celebratory bunting and learn about early photography by making their your pin-hole camera.

Included in palace admission.

Recommended age 5 – 13 years.
