The newly-transformed Kensington Palace will give visitors four new routes to explore including a permanent exhibition called Victoria Revealed, re-interpreted King's Apartments and Queen's Apartments, a temporary exhibition with dresses of Diana, Princess of Wales until 2 September, and from 24 May until 4 November, a temporary exhibition about the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, called 'A view from the crowd'.
Describer tours are available for two of these routes - either the King's Apartments or the Victoria Revealed exhibition. Each tour will take around 1.5 to 2 hours so we advise on one Describer tour per visit. Sadly we are unable to offer tours for the other areas of Kensington Palace at this time, due to space contraints. Of course you are always welcome to book and visit a second time in order to enjoy the describer tours in both areas - or why not become a member of Historic Royal Palaces and enjoy unlimited free entry to all five of our palaces for a year plus all the describer tours they offer!
Tours are available between 10.00am and 3.00pm, and are suitable for a maximum of three blind or partially sighted visitors and their carers and must be pre-booked. There is no additional charge as this service is included in the admission price.
If you would like to arrange a describer tour, please contact us requesting a particular date/s at least two weeks in advance and we will check availability. Our contact details are below.
