British Sign Language tours

The newly transformed Kensington Palace is now open after a £12million, two-year project. British Sign Language tours are offered to deaf and hard and hearing visitors - see below for details.
The Front of House team at Kensington Palace

From 26 March 2012, Kensington Palace will have four new routes to explore including a permanent exhibition called Victoria Revealed, re-interpreted King's Apartments and Queen's Apartments, a temporary exhibition with dresses of Diana, Princess of Wales until 2 September, and from 24 May until 4 November, a temporary exhibition about the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, called 'A view from the crowd'.

Tours with one of our Explainers accompanied by a BSL interpreter will be available for two of these routes - Victoria Revealed and the King's State Apartments. Sadly we are unable to offer tours for the other areas of the palace, due to space constraints. We advise focusing on one of these routes for a BSL tour, and of course you are always welcome to visit again and book a BSL tour of the other route. Or why not become a member and enjoy unlimited free entry to all our palaces and the BSL provision they have.

Please contact us with at least two weeks notice by either telephoning (18001) 020 3166 6121 or emailing kensingtontours@hrp.org.uk with details of your preferred date and the size of your group. We will then get back to you to gather all the details we need in order to make your visit as enjoyable and personal as possible. There is no additional charge as this service is included in the admission price.

Equally, our BSL interpreters are familiar with Kensington Palace and can advise if you have any queries about what would work best in terms of BSL tours for individual visitors or groups, so do feel free to contact us with enquiries about visiting Kensington Palace if you are deaf or hard of hearing.
