  5. A member of the Welcome Team or volunteer on duty by the Group Entrance will act as a meet and greet for all education groups. They will show you how to access the main visitor routes or the meeting point for your taught session if you have booked one.
  6. There are four routes to explore in the palace. Victoria Revealed, King's State Apartments, Queen's State Apartments and temporary exhibitions.
  7. Information about lunchroom provision is included below.

Toilets

On arrival if students need the toilet there are a number accessible by the cafe. However, the main toilets for education groups to use are situated on the ground floor, off the vestibule past the ticket barrier. Education groups are encouraged to use these if possible. There are also a small number of toilets situated in the Clore Learning Centre for use during taught sessions.

There are fully accessible toilets at all these locations.

Bags and coats

There are large wardrobes for education group's bags and coats in the Group Entrance. Groups can place student's items in these wardrobes and lock them with the padlocks provided.

If you have booked a lunchroom slot you will need to leave students lunchboxes and bags in the polka dot red bags provided in the Group Entrance on arrival. These will then be transported to the lunchroom ready for your booked slot.

Lunch rooms

If you require a lunchroom you must pre-book a slot from 11.30 – 13.30 when booking your visit with our bookings team. The lunchroom will be accessed by swipe card, given to teachers as part of their registration with the Welcome Team in the main ticket entrance of White Court. Teachers should return swipe cards to the Welcome Team in White Court after lunch.

Picnicking

Picknicking is allowed in all parts of the palace gardens except for the wild flower meadow near the golden gates. Bins are located near the palace cafe.

Shopping

The shop is located on the ground floor of the palace next to the main entrance and exit. There is a children's area with affordable souveniers for school groups.

Lost property

Lost property is handed in to the main palace control office. If you loose something whilst you're in the palace, please contact one of the Front of House team and ask them to help. If a loss is noticed afterwards, please call the education office on 020 3166 6626.
