Planning your education visit

We are now taking bookings up to February 2014. We are currently re-designing our programme to further enhance our offer for school visits by developing new sessions and teaching resources for the classroom and onsite. We hope to give you more details about these plans and to open up booking opportunities for the second half of the spring term 2014 soon.

What is included

From March 2012 the education admission rate includes access to all the new visitor routes at Kensington; Victoria Revealed display, King's State Apartments and the Queen's State Apartments.  From 4 July 2014 you will also be able to visit the temporary exhibition Fashion Rules, a display of dress from the collections of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales.

Your preliminary visit voucher will give you a chance to plan an itinerary for the day, and staff will be pleased to answer any questions you might have to help your visit run smoothly.

Sessions and workshops

Education sessions offer engaging and interactive ways to explore this magnificent palace. Led by expert presenters, all sessions are closely based on the national curriculum, as well as offering opportunities for cross-curricular learning.

All sessions can accommodate up to 35 students and are available throughout term times, though not always in the first and last weeks of term. See individual session listings for full details.

Rates vary between £90 and £100 per session.

For information about taught sessions, please see Sessions for schools
