Kensington Palace is a building full of stories - from the characters who lived here, their styles and their passions to the people who built it and how the palace fits into the wider context of British history - there is just so much to explore.

In partnership with the Library Service of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we selected almost one hundred books from their huge collection, as well as adding some brand new titles, reflecting the people and passions of Kensington Palace. The Kensington Palace Book Collection will initially be available at the Kensington Central Library, and ultimately smaller collections will go out to other libraries in the borough.

The book collection was launched at Kensington Palace on the 11th of November 2011 in the presence of the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea.
