What we offer

Over the last few years thousands of people in the local community have been involved with projects and events inspired by Kensington Palace. Each year we organise a range of projects which involve working with people of all ages, as well as events which are either open to the public or for invited community groups. Our work focuses on engaging the boroughs nearest to our palaces.

If you are interested in your community group working with Kensington Palace, e-mail outreachandcommunity@hrp.org.uk, although we unfortunately can’t guarantee to work with every group, owing to time, resources and strategic priorities – but please feel free to get in touch anyway!

Visitor access

You can find out about visitor access, and download the Enchanted Palace Access Statement and the Guide for Parents and carers of children on the Autistic Spectrum here.

Off-site sessions for adults

We offer some free off-site sessions for adult community groups in the boroughs close to Kensington Palace, including illustrated talks and a practical workshop. All sessions are subject to availability and terms and conditions. Please e-mail outreachandcommunity@hrp.org.uk if you are interested in a session and would like more information, or call 020 3166 6637 to speak to the Outreach and Community Involvement Officer for Adults.

Talks

The Georgians at Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace was transformed by King George I and King George II, who made this the centre of power and society in the first half of the 18th century. Discover the lives of these two kings, and how they and their people shaped society in this magnificent palace. A 45 minute illustrated talk.

Breaking the mould: The life of Princess Louise

Regarded as the prettiest and arguably most talented of Queen Victoria’s daughters, she was also the most unconventional royal lady of the 19th century. Find out how Louise broke the royal mould in so many ways in a 45 minute illustrated talk.

The Young Victoria

Queen Victoria was born and raised in Kensington Palace. Indeed, it was here that she was told that she had become Queen, and that she now ruled great swathes of the world. Yet if this was the moment that Victoria finally became her own woman, what had her life been like before? Find out in a 45 minute illustrated talk.
