Parents and children worked together to explore the story of George III and the idea of 'home', both for a king like George and for themselves today. Interactive games and activities helped children discover the things the king loved when he was at home at Kew Palace.

Into the light
Spring 2008
This artistic community project was inspired by the palace and its interiors. A diverse collection of community groups transformed the Queen’s Gardens at Kew Palace with a magical night-time light and sound installation.

Temple of the Imagination
In partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and Historic Royal Palaces, local groups from Hounslow and Richmond worked together to produce a pavilion in the gardens called the 'Temple of the Imagination'.
Participants represented a range of ages, abilities and socio-cultural backgrounds and worked with professional artists to decorate the Temple, a receptacle for people's ideas, stories and dreams.

Access forum and Kew Palace re-presentation
Drawn from the local community, members of the Historic Royal Palaces access forum worked alongside the project team responsible for the restoration and re-presentation of Kew Palace to enable high-quality provision for people with disabilities.
