Play in a Day

Play in a Day was a Community Outreach project developed and delivered in cooperation with one of our community partners –the Feltham Arts Association.
Play in a day

Local young people from the Rivers Academy in Feltham prepared and presented a drama and dance performance inspired by the exhibition The Wild the Beautiful and the Damned.

There was just one catch...
All the costumes, props and dance & drama routines were devised in Hampton Court on the day of the performance!
Young people worked all morning in drama, dance and costume making workshops under the guidance of practitioners from Feltham Arts and they performed the final show in the afternoon of the same day in the King’s Staircase.

It was a challenge to stay organised and focused, remember the lines and moves, work with other people under the time pressure and face the public at the end of the day!
