What we offer

Over the last few years thousands of people in the local community have been involved with projects and events inspired by Kew Palace. Each year we organise a range of projects which involve working with people of all ages, as well as events which are either open to the public or for invited community groups. Our work focuses on engaging the boroughs nearest to our palaces.

If you are interested in your community group working with Kew Palace, e-mail outreachandcommunity@hrp.org.uk, although we unfortunately can’t guarantee to work with every group, owing to time, resources and strategic priorities – but please feel free to get in touch anyway!

Off-site sessions for adults

We offer some free off-site sessions for adult community groups in the boroughs close to Kew Palace, including illustrated talks and a practical workshop. All sessions are subject to availability and terms and conditions. Please e-mail outreachandcommunity@hrp.org.uk if you are interested in a session and would like more information, or call 020 3166 6637 to speak to the Outreach and Community Involvement Officer for Adults.

George III used Kew Palace during some of the happiest and saddest times of his life. Hear about the king who was branded as ‘mad’ by contemporaries, but whose stature has gradually grown in recent years, in a 45 minute illustrated talk.

The accidental palace
The building we call Kew Palace today was originally just a large merchant’s house. Find out how this curious building became a palace by default in a 45 minute illustrated talk.
