Moira Cameron was announced as the first female Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London amid huge international media interest in January 2007. She will join the Body of Yeoman Warders at the Tower in summer 2007 and take on the title of Yeoman Warder Cameron.
Moira Cameron joined the Army in June 1985 at the age of 20 and saw service in England, Northern Ireland and Cyprus. She joined the Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC) and trained as a Data Telegraphist with the Royal Signals.
