This October, Kew Palace, the beloved home of George III, is throwing open its doors for a very special sleepover with a difference. For the first time in 200 years, there will be a party at Kew, attended by The King himself, and his guests will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend the night in a Royal Palace.
Join us 19 October for a night of fun and frivolity, as the beautiful Palace prepares for the arrival of The King. Guarantee Kew looks at its most glittering with decoration making in the Great Kitchen, and practice your dancing steps with some lessons before the party begins. There will be a wig making class too, to make sure you look the part!
George III and his wife Queen Charlotte used Kew as a place to get away from it all, so they’ll be expecting a warm welcome when they arrive later in the evening. As the party gets going, discover the secrets of the Palace in a very special torchlit tour around Kew by night.
Finally, you’ll be bedding down for the evening in style, in The King’s Great Dining Room! After a night’s sleep, in spectacular surroundings, breakfast will be served to set you up for the next day.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate in style with a King, in one of his favourite Palaces. The sleepover will take place Friday 19 October, and is open to children aged 7 – 11.
Kew Palace is Britain's most intimate royal residence, enjoyed as a country retreat by George III, Queen Charlotte and their family between 1801 and 1818. They spent many happy moments entertaining family, friends and heads of state in the stunning King's Dining Room, where the sleepover will take place.
