Prisoners exhibition

Prisoners of the Tower

Explore the real experiences and difficult choices of past inmates at the world’s most famous prison with the Tower of London’s interactive 'Prisoners' displays.

The trial of Anne Boleyn

Many towers within the fortress now give you exciting new audio and visual ways to discover what it was like to be imprisoned in the imposing Tower of London. You can also make your own personal prisoner adventure with our new prisoner game cards, free to every visitor with their ticket.

From playing the role of news reader, breaking the top story of the arrest of Guy Fawkes, to using video to join in scenes of court life and mingle with high status prisoners in the Upper Salt Tower, you can immerse yourself in real stories of where, why and how people were incarcerated in the Tower of London.

You can also have your say on what you think about imprisonment, comparing society’s attitudes today with those in the past.

Explore the prisoners' stories at the Tower of London and follow in their footsteps.

Exhibition admission included in your Tower of London entrance ticket.
