Life in the Medieval Palace

Discover what it was like to be part of the court of King Edward I, the man responsible for much of the Tower as it appears today. You will step back in time to 1284 and follow the knights and ladies of his court as they go about life in the Medieval Palace.  Discover what it was like to sleep, eat, work and play within the walls of this mighty fortress.

Medieval Christmas
27-31 December

It’s Christmas 1284 and at the Tower you can join the court of King of England King Edward I as they prepare to celebrate the festive season. Join in the jovial atmosphere of King Edward’s court as entertainers perform around you, musicians play and sing and fools make you laugh.  Accompany the king and his court as they gather for traditional tales and fun aplenty!
