Citizenship Ceremonies

Since 2008, the Tower of London has hosted a citizenship ceremony each year, giving people the opportunity to have a life changing moment in one of the most iconic of British buildings.
Citizenship Ceremonies
The most recent ceremony took place in October 2010, and saw 25 people living in Tower Hamlets make their oaths and pledges to Queen and Country, and have their certificates of nationality presented to them by the Resident Governor of the Tower of London.

The new citizens really enjoyed the experience, and many took friends and family to witness their change in nationality. After the ceremony, citizens and guests were able to go around the Tower, and see the stunning Crown Jewels, the famous Yeoman Warders, and the legendary ravens.
