Restoration and Rebellion

The monarchy has been restored after a catastrophic civil war. But all is not well...

Plots are hatched, rebellions raised. You choose who you will support and who betray in the dangerous world of the late 17th century.


Event takes place daily at 11.30, 12.30, 14.30 and 15.30, meet on the South Lawn.

To mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, join characters from every decade of her reign.

Share their experience of the New Elizabethan age, the Cold War, the white heat of the technological revolution and beyond. From Flower Power to Power dressing, the events which shaped society shaped the changing fashions of the time.

An Affair of Honour

Weekends in August and August Bank Holiday Monday

Swords are drawn and pistols flare as restoration rakes settle their differences 17th century style.
Goaded on by the King’s stunning mistress, Barbara Villiers and under the watchful eye of famous diarist Samuel Pepys, the duellists prepare for bloodshed.
