Information and records at Historic Royal Palaces
Historic Royal Palaces holds a wide range of information including business, research and scientific data, governance, conservation specialist records, collections information, plus material used on our website and in social media. We have a duty to conserve our information that may become National Records.
How we manage our information and records
• We have an extensive collection of audio, video and photographic assets that we manage using our Digital Asset Management System
• All of our records and assets are managed using standards and policies
• Our staff have a responsibility to manage information and HRP are currently developing a team to provide best practice advice and training modules to support the adoption of records standards
• Current projects include cataloguing over 25,000 architectural drawings held in the Tower Archive We are also transferring appropriate HRP legacy records to The National Archives as part of on-going responsibilities under the Public Records Act of 1958 and 1967.
