Learning and development
Every new employee will benefit from our excellent induction programme. Right from the start you and your manager will also agree a tailored personal development plan.
This plan will cover how you will develop your skills and knowledge in order to carry out your role as well as getting to know the organisation. You will also be assigned a ‘buddy’ to help you settle into the organisation.
We encourage employees to work towards professional and vocational qualifications. For qualifications that are job related we will also consider giving financial support and study leave.
We encourage all of our employees to take advantage of the wide range of learning opportunities on offer at Historic Royal Palaces; from our extensive in-house development workshops to job shadowing, mentoring, working as part of various project teams, one to one coaching as well as any specialist training required in your specific role.
Historic Royal Palaces believes passionately in developing its managers. Our leadership programmes, accredited by the ILM, are designed to help managers and team leaders better understand their own performance in relation to the leadership behaviour expected of them.
