Our curators

Researching the palaces’ history

‘The job of the curators’ team is to find out the best stories from the history of the five palaces and share them with our visitors, members and colleagues’.

What we do

We investigate the history of all five of the historic royal palaces, and the expertise in the team ranges from medieval archaeology to modern royal fashion. We carry out research in advance of any new exhibition or display to make sure that we’ve got the facts right.

We spend half our time locked up in the library, but the rest of the time we can be found out and about: giving talks to our members, appearing on TV, prowling the sale rooms in search of new objects for the collection or crawling down holes investigating the archaeology.
