Major General Keith Cima became Governor of the Tower of London in October 2006, following a successful Army career.

The Governor is responsible for the overall running of the Tower, which includes the Yeoman Body, the Jewel House and the commercial, administrative and official affairs of this Royal Palace and Fortress.

Keith was born in 1951, educated at Ranelagh School, Bracknell, and Brasenose College, Oxford. He was commissioned into the Royal Engineers in October 1974. He commanded  Royal Engineer units at troop, squadron and regimental level, with service in Northern Ireland, Germany, Belize and Africa . He attended the Royal College of Defence Studies in 1996, and returned there as Senior Directing Staff in 2002.

He held a number of senior posts in the Army including Director Engineer Services, Director of Manning, and Chief of Staff to the Adjutant General.  Before retirement he was Team Leader of a programme to combine and re-locate the two largest headquarters in the Army.

He is married to Susie and they have six children.
