Tips on completing the form

The online application form is the first step in the recruitment process. It will ask you to answer a variety of questions. We suggest taking extra time when completing the form to tell us why you are the best person for this job as we use this information to decide if we wish to invite you to interview.

  • Ensure you enter a valid email address as this will be used for future correspondence
  • Make sure you have done your research on the organisation and have a full understanding of the job
  • Establish the skills we are looking for e.g. technical skills or specific knowledge and provide evidence of where you have demonstrated these skills
  • Consider uploading further supporting evidence e.g. CV, covering letter
  • Take extra time when you answer the competency based questions
  • Read the questions twice to identify key words and understand what is being asked
  • Ask yourself what the recruiter is looking for and review your answers with this in mind
  • Before filling in your application form write a draft version to avoid mistakes
  • Always check your spelling and grammar
  • Be clear, concise, direct and relevant. Be aware of the word limit - use your words wisely but maximise the opportunity.
  • Use positive language
  • Don't lie about your qualifications or experience - you will be found out
  • Read over your application before you press 'submit'
  • You will receive an email confirming receipt of your application
  • Once submitted your application will be sent to our recruitment team and will be personally screened
