Portrait of Charles I

Inigo Jones' Banqueting House is the only surviving remnant of the magnificent Palace of Whitehall which, before it was destroyed by fire in 1698, was the largest palace in Europe.

We offer a vibrant adult learning programme, from curator talks to panel debates, plus a range of activities for communities and groups, and our exciting health and wellbeing strand, Sensory Palaces.

Explore with your students the highs of court entertainment in the location where Charles I lost his head. Experience history where it happened and take advantage of free entry for under-16s, plus free preliminary tickets to prepare for your visit.
