The pre and post-visit classroom activities will introduce Hampton Court Palace and place the pupils’ mission into a historical context.

They include class discussion, drama and role play and creative writing and have been designed around the new National Curriculum to support your pupils to develop the skills needed to become successful Time Explorers.

Before your visit

'How to do a mission' film

This film introduces your pupils to Hampton Court Palace and explains what to expect when they arrive. It also shows what they need to do to complete their mission.

Ambassador film 1 - Mission introduction

Introduce your pupils to their mission and meet Carlos Di Borghese, the Venetian Ambassador in need of their help.

Ambassador film 2 - Pre-visit classroom activity

The Venetian Ambassador explains the mission further and introduces the classroom activity your pupils can complete before the visit.

After your visit

Ambassador film 3 - Mission complete!

Your mission is complete! The Venetian Ambassador is very grateful and has a classroom message for your pupils. 

Ambassador film 4 - Post-visit classroom activity

This film introduces a follow-up activity for your class to write a report to the Doge of Venice to explain their findings.
