Hillsborough Castle Research Project

Hillsborough Castle Research Project

Can you help us piece together the history of Hillsborough Castle?

Now until the end of March 2017, we’re carrying out an exciting research project that aims to discover more about the people that have visited, lived or worked at Hillsborough Castle; and the stories they reveal about its history.

Do you have old film or photos taken at the Castle?

Photography and film can reveal so much about our past. They're like windows into a world that can feel both familiar and distant at the same time. With your help, we can open these windows once more and bring their stories back to life!

We'd love to see it!

If you have any old cine film, or photos taken at the Castle; no matter what condition it's in - be it black and white, colour, good or grainy - we'd be delighted to see it and explore what it could reveal about the history of this important historic site.

Your material could play an important part in helping to bring history to life as we piece together the Castle's stories in anticipation of our new visitor facilities.
