Christmas as we know it today started during the Victorian period. Join us as we decorate Kensington Palace with beautiful lanterns inspired by Queen Victoria's diaries. Experience festive music, talks on Christmas traditions and food, lantern-making workshops and more.

Victoria’s Christmas

26 November - 2 January. Extracts from the diaries of a princess and queen, brought to life with illuminated illustrations. This unique installation uses a Victorian paper-cut style for a series of very special Christmas lights. Included in palace admission.

Brunchtime lecture: the rise of Christmas shopping
