Describer tours for blind and partially sighted visitors

Describer tours for blind and partially sighted visitors

The Front of House team at Kensington Palace

Describer tours are offered to blind and partially sighted visitors.

About the tours

Describer tours are available for two routes - either the King's Apartments or Victoria Revealed.

Each tour will take around 1.5 to 2 hours so we advise on just one Describer tour per visit. Sadly we are unable to offer tours for the other areas of Kensington Palace at this time due to space constraints. Of course you are always welcome to book and visit a second time in order to enjoy the Describer tours in both areas - or why not become a member of Historic Royal Palaces and enjoy unlimited free entry to all five of our palaces for a year plus all the Describer tours they offer!

Tours are available between 10.00 and 15.00, and are suitable for a maximum of three blind or partially sighted visitors and their carers and must be pre-booked. There is no additional charge as this service is included in the admission price.

If you would like to arrange a Describer tour, please contact us requesting a particular date/s at least two weeks in advance and we will check availability.
