October Half Term - Decorate the Palace

Family drop-in activities for all ages (FREE, included in palace admission)

Sunday 23 - Saturday 29 October 2016 

11.00 - 16.00

Help the Queen and court painter decorate the palace! Create a vase to add to Queen Mary's collection, or meet the painter William Kent and hear how he got the top job in the land because of his choice in paint. Find out if you would have made a good colourist (paint maker), or pick up an around the world shopping trail and help to fill the palace with the best decorations from all over the world.

Family trail: the Queen's Grand Gardens

Explore the palace gardens with Queen Caroline as your guide. Find out about the history of the gardens as you wiggle your way through the wiggly walk, see what wild life you can find living in the gardens and hunt for the Indian Bean Tree.

Recommended for children aged five to eleven years. Collect a free trail when you buy your ticket.
