About us
The Outreach & Community Involvement (OCI) team exists to reach out to people who aren’t currently engaged with our palaces because of social, cultural, financial or physical barriers. Our focus is on working with community groups in the London boroughs nearest our sites.
We work with people of all ages and abilities through a range of different activities – from projects to events, creating resources to organising special occasions, talks and workshops on and off-site, and visits to our five amazing palaces.
Over the years we have worked with a huge range of organisations – from youth clubs to nursing homes, parents groups to refugee support organisations, day care centres to disability groups, hospitals to Register Offices, nurseries to holiday activity clubs, and so many more. Sometimes we are able to build close relationships with particular organisations, and they become Community Partners, enabling them and us to benefit from each other’s skills.
Our team is passionate about working alongside our local communities to provide opportunities for everyone to access the history and built heritage of the palaces, and to discover how the stories of yesterday relate to society today.
Get involved!
Our success depends on working with a wide range of partners: community groups, schools, funding bodies, education and business partnerships, corporate social responsibility units and many more.
If you are interested in working with us at any of our palaces please email outreachandcommunity@hrp.org.uk
