Visits from KS 1-3 students and Special School students can be supported.
The fund covers the cost of general admission for up to 105 pupils as well as a facilitated session for all children. Adults accompanying children at HRP-stated ratios will also be included.
To be eligible, schools must be
- a state funded primary, secondary or special school located in an inner or outer London borough.
Applications for the fund from schools with one or more of the following characteristics will be prioritised:
- at least 30% of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium
- at least 50% of pupils with a first language that is known to be other than English
- at least 15% of pupils with special educational needs*.
*these characteristics will not be considered in relation to Special Schools.
All schools receiving a free visit from the Access Fund must send the lead teacher to a familiarisation day at their chosen site (which includes free entry), join our HRP Teacher Network and participate in structured evaluation activities during and after the visit.
The fund is limited, so please apply as early as possible. Assuming applications meet the eligibility criteria, funds will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The fund opens for applications on 24 April 2017. The closing date for applications is midnight on Friday 26 May 2017.
