The smallest of Britain’s royal palaces, Kew Palace was home to George III and his family from 1801 when the king was suffering from apparent insanity.
Located inside Kew Gardens, the palace is a jewel, and it was reopened to the public in 2006 after years of work.
Inside, you can see and hear the story of a family in crisis, meet George III in the shape of Madame Tussaud’s original waxwork head, and enter the colourful world the Georgians made for themselves.
