The morning will be led by Nick Wood, the Royal Tennis Court’s Head Professional. It includes an introduction to the game followed by an hour of coaching and then the opportunity to implement your new skills whilst playing some games. Following the on court tennis, a practical workshop will be given on how to make the handmade tennis balls. The morning will be completed with lunch in the Royal Tennis Court dining room.

Learn about the history of the palace gardens - a tour of the main areas of the gardens in the Tiltyard looking at summer displays and then into the Wilderness to hear about the Maze and Lion Gate.

In the afternoon, discover some of the highlights of Henry VIII’s Palace, with a tour from one of the palace’s resident curators. This will also include a trip to the archaeological stores, where some of the more interesting Tudor finds from a hundred years of excavation are kept.
Finally, if raining, the tour will enter some of the unseen palace attic apartments, once lived in by courtiers and some not used for nearly a hundred years. If the day is sunny, a trip to the roof-tops should afford glorious views over the river and surrounding countryside.

The morning will include learning about caring for the Great Vine (the largest in the world!) with the palace Vine Keeper and then enjoy an expert guided tour of our world renowned South Front and East Front gardens with our palace garden experts, looking at the creation and choice of the spectacular summer bedding schemes and combinations.
In the afternoon be taken on an expert guided tour of The Wilderness and Tiltyard and learn about the history of the palace gardens. This fabulous day ends with seeing the palace and gardens from the roof tops (subject to weather conditions) and if the weather is not good then you will be taken to the State Apartments to look out at the magnificent views of the gardens as once seen by the Kings and Queens who lived at the palace.
