Corporate Sponsorship

From specific exhibitions to conservation work there are many different opportunities to sponsor our work
Conservation work of Henry VIII's astronomical clock

Sponsoring a project at Historic Royal Palaces be it re-presentation, community and outreach, collection care or education not only helps you to meet your CSR objectives but also gives you the opportunity to increase your brand visibility to our 3.3 million annual visitors.

HRP receives no money from the crown or the government, by sponsoring an exhibition, project or event you will be helping us to inspire the 3 million visitors we welcome to our palaces from all over the world every year. As well as supporting the work that our award winning education and community outreach teams already do.

Current sponsorship opportunities include the re-presentation of Kensington Palace, the re-presentation of the Crown Jewels, outreach and community involvement programmes and education programmes.

Re-presentation of Kensington Palace
Completion date 2012
Our ambition for Kensington Palace is to create an intimate and engaging visitor experience which is open to the widest possible audience. We aim to put the people, bustle and the atmosphere back into this fascinating royal palace.

Kensington Palace represents the most comprehensive journey through modern British history available anywhere in the UK. It was the home of both the late Jacobean and early Georgian courts and it was within these walls that the first political maneouverings towards our present day constitutional monarchy were played out. Britain's longest reigning Queen, Victoria, was also born and grew up within the palace and it was here that she both, met Albert for the first time and learnt that she had become Queen.

We want to help new audiences uncover the stories of the palace in fresh and engaging ways and explore how the people and events of the past have shaped society today.

Our desire is to present a 'palace for everyone'. Our work will reaveal previously hidden treasures of the building and its contents and make it more than ever before, intellectually stimulating, cohesive, relevant and welcoming.

With your help we want to make Kensington, once again, one of the country's most important cultural and historic gems.

Education
We are one of the very largest providers of heritage education in the country, reaching 130,000 learners each year.

Our education offering spans both children and adults. Including workshops and sessions catering for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 as well as AS and A2 level units and excellent talks and evening courses for adults.

Our aim is to continue to expand our education service to help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.

Last year we extended our education service to include Kensington Palace and with your help we want to continue this expansion online with the development of our e-learning and online resources. These resources will enable those who are unable to physically access the palaces learn about the monarchs and people that lived in these residences and how they influence the world we live in today.

Outreach and Community Involvement
HRP's Outreach and Community Involvement team exists to create opportunities to engage people who do not currently come to our palaces because of social, cultural, financial or physical reasons, particularly in the local areas around our palaces.

Their recent work has included:

  • Reminiscence projects with local communities to the palaces including a project in Tower Hamlets which drew on peoples memories of the beach on the wharf at the Tower of London
  • Working with the Royal Hospital Kensington and Chelsea to make workbooks based on the stories of some of the people that lived at Kensington Palace to give to child patients
  • Engaging with pupil referral units to help young people who are not in mainstream schooling become inspired by history and art and learn about the history of the palaces

The work of the OCI team helps HRP to breack down the barriers between people and the palaces allowing communities to explore the history of their areas in unthreatening and enjoyable environments.
