Historic Royal Palaces exists to help everyone discover the stories of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
We are an independent charity and receive no money from the government or the crown to look after the five palaces in our care. We are extremely grateful to the generous gifts people have left to Historic Royal Palaces in their wills which have helped us to continue this vaulable work.
Some of the ways that people have chosen to help have included:
- Continuing the growth of our award-winning education and community outreach work at Kew Palace
- Restoring the gardens at Kensington Palace based on their original 18th-Century design and re-connecting them with the surrounding park
- The continued conservation of the extraordinary Tudor Chimneys at Hampton Court Palace
