What legacies help us to do

Leave a legacy of which you can be proud and help make our future as valuable as our past.

Large or small gifts given through wills help us to do amazing things

Historic Royal Palaces exists to help everyone discover the stories of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built.

We are an independent charity and receive no money from the government or the crown to look after the five palaces in our care. We are extremely grateful to the generous gifts people have left to Historic Royal Palaces in their wills which have helped us to continue this vaulable work.

Some of the ways that people have chosen to help have included:

  • Continuing the growth of our award-winning education and community outreach work at Kew Palace
  • Restoring the gardens at Kensington Palace based on their original 18th-Century design and re-connecting them with the surrounding park
  • The continued conservation of the extraordinary Tudor Chimneys at Hampton Court Palace

If you are interested in leaving a donation in your will to Historic Royal Palaces and would like it to benefit a specific area of our work please contact Felicity Sutherland to make sure that your desires can be met.
