About patronage

Historic Royal Palaces exists to make sure that the future of these palaces is as valuable as their past. We receive no funding from the Government or the Crown to look after these buildings and the stories within them.

By becoming a patron you can help us to give the palaces the care they deserve. The money that our patrons donate goes directly towards supporting the work of our conservation and collection care teams.

From delicately cleaning exquisite Tudor tapestries to scaling the walls of the Tower of London to take Medieval mortar samples. Repairing the intricate lace work on 19th Century court dresses to slowing down the damage done by time and light to Georgian paintings.

Our patrons support all this work and much, much more.
